Come refresh your body and mind in the Summer air and explore the meditative practice of drawing.
We will begin with slow gentle movement to create warmth and grounding, before moving into observational drawing with attention to the nuances of the natural world. Each week will be held at a different outdoor location in Melbourne and will focus on a new technique and Sankalpa (theme.)
The Art of Attention is a fortnightly exploration into the elements of interpreting the visual world. Through movement and drawing, we cultivate a sense of inner curiosity and focus. This sets a beautiful foundation for the process of creating and engaging mindfully with what may arise for us. With this self-awareness, we can bring more attention and intention to how we move through the joys and challenges of each new day.
Suitable for all levels of meditation, yoga and artistic experience. However, we do request an openness to new ways of seeing and creating :)
Bring a Journal, pencils or pens, and wear comfortable clothing. We will have limited A5 Hardback Journals available for purchase ($6).
